Callas, Darling (2025)

On a warm August night, Marie speeds down the highway, determined to escape. She pauses at a gas station for a final cigarette and Capri Sun – a quiet goodbye. There, she encounters Gerlinde, and the two women form an unexpected connection. They journey south to Albania, to the childhood home of Gerlinde’s lost love, Marieta. Along the way, at rest stops, hostels, and under the setting sun, they meet others seeking freedom, and the two women begin to reconsider their paths, quietly allowing themselves to hope for a fresh start.
