Natasja (2008)

She dreamed of becoming a successful reggae artist in Jamaica, but her aspirations took an unexpected turn. Early in 2008, her song "Calabria" topped Billboard's Hot Dance Chart and became a worldwide sensation, including in Jamaica. Simultaneously, she was Denmark's most awarded singer of the year, with a best-selling album in her native language. Tragically, she wouldn't live to see this success fully realized. After 17 years of striving for a breakthrough, her career was just beginning to flourish when a car accident occurred on her way from a performance in Jamaica. Her longtime friend Karen Mukupa, who was also in the car, survived.
