Homecoming (2012)

Homecoming tells the story of Croatia's recovery after the devastating Homeland War (1991-1995), which destroyed an estimated 20-25% of the country's economy and resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and widespread homelessness. Through the experiences of ordinary people, the film explores how this small Balkan nation, rich in natural beauty and human spirit, rose from the ashes of terror. It reflects on a difficult period in history that, while unchangeable, ultimately shaped a generation for the better, leaving lasting physical and psychological scars.
