Description:
Frank Crosby, a man in his forties battling cancer and weakened by illness, spends an afternoon at Venice Beach with his vibrant fifteen-year-old son, Clay, who looks much younger than his age. They visit a quirky shop called Oddities, where the owner, a woman with a gypsy air, gives them a unique pair of wingtip shoes. That night, as Frank lies dying in the hospital, he shares a memory with Clay: a postcard image of a peaceful golf course with people enjoying tea. After Frank's death, Clay finds the wingtips in his father’s closet. When he puts them on, he’s instantly transported back in time to his father’s childhood. He discovers he can travel through time simply by wearing or removing the shoes. Clay uses this ability to learn about his father’s past and is eager to explore it further.
