World Between Us (2025)

Marie Tomanová left her hometown of Mikulov for the USA as an au pair and now works on campaigns for major fashion brands like Nike and Instagram, and for magazines such as Vogue CS. She’s more recognized internationally than in her native Czech Republic, where she found limited opportunities as a young artist. It was only in New York, with the support of her partner and fellow art historian, Thomas Beachdel, that she truly developed and found her path. Tomanová's portraits capture a vibrant energy, forging an immediate connection with her subjects and acting as a conduit for their inner essence.
