Description:
What does it mean to experience another person's suffering? This film centers on Anton, an autistic boy whose life shifts between a rundown apartment in the city's outskirts and a mental hospital. The story begins as Anton is about to be admitted to a residential neuropsychiatric institution, a place where individuals with his condition often have short lifespans. The film blurs the lines between observer and observed, as the author and camera draw closer to Anton, eventually merging into the narrative. It's not a tale of assistance, but of recognition: a journey of seeing oneself reflected in another. A story about the constant struggle to suppress a hidden part of ourselves in order to endure.
