Description:

The late 1960s saw the start of an extraordinary chapter in Australian motorsport. Despite the Holden car's popularity in Australia, the company wasn't officially involved in racing. To circumvent a global ban on factory racing, Holden hired Harry Firth in 1969 to lead the Holden Dealer Team, presented as retailer-backed. This led to legendary status in Australian motorsport. The documentary follows the team's early drivers, including Colin Bond and Peter Brock, in the Monaro GTS 350, through the Torana-dominated 1970s and the Commodore's rise to prominence in the early 1980s. It details intense rivalries between the Torana XU1 and Ford GTHO Falcons, the dominance of the Torana A9X, the Commodore's impressive debut in the 1979 Repco round-Australia rally, and Peter Brock's ascent to Australian icon status at Bathurst.
