Description:
This is the story of the Wilderness Act of 1964 and the three men who made it happen: Aldo Leopold, a forester and influential philosopher known for his book *A Sand County Almanac* and for popularizing the term "ecology"; Bob Marshall, a wealthy socialist and founder of The Wilderness Society; and Howard Zahniser, a dedicated bureaucrat passionate about preserving wildlands, though he rarely visited them. Working individually and collaboratively from the 1920s to the 1950s, these three men fought tirelessly to protect the natural world. The film explores the origins of the modern environmental movement, providing insight into a critical issue for today's world.
