To Infinity and Beyond (2004)

"To Infinity and Beyond" blends real footage with fictional stories. The film has two parts, using the same footage but told from two connected viewpoints. It documents villagers participating in a Thai ceremony called 'Boon Bung Fai,' where the aim – now largely forgotten – is to honor the sky and pray for rain. The film contrasts documentary and fiction, quiet and loud moments, traditional stories with contemporary news, exploring the connections between people and nature, earth and sky, dreams and reality, East and West, and ultimately, the past and present shaping the future.
