My Little Town (2002)

This collection of cartoon stories brings to life a small town at the turn of the century, all within a single day, using charming Czech humor. The interconnected vignettes evoke places from the artist’s childhood and the atmosphere of Sopron at the end of the 19th century. Through the imaginative lens of the graphic artist director, we see a stationmaster greeting the sunrise and a train driver dreaming of a mermaid he spotted in the lake that day.
