The Confession of Feng Qi (2006)

On a train, Feng Qi (Lin Shen) instantly falls for Chen Yan (Zhu Liying), a woman eight years his senior who is divorced with a daughter. Chen Yan remains unresponsive. After Feng Qi is accepted into military academy, he boldly asks her to be his girlfriend, but she repeatedly turns him down. Undeterred, Feng Qi persists with his romantic advances, hoping to help Chen Yan rediscover her faith in love. Eventually, overwhelmed by his heartfelt declarations, Chen Yan agrees to his courtship, even placing her daughter’s future in his hands. However, Feng Qi's parents strongly disapprove of their son's relationship with such an older woman.
