In 1999, a legend of a zombie unearthed from an ancient tomb surfaces in a small Sichuan town. A boy who has an accident during swimming lessons is nicknamed "little zombie" and ostracized by his peers and teachers, who blame his "unlikability." Years later, he becomes an actor, and his teacher dies of blood cancer. In a dream, he encounters his deceased teacher, who wishes to reconcile, but asks him to become more "likeable." Driven by this, the boy seeks guidance from celebrities, discovering they all carry hidden wounds. He learns that not all resentment stems from within. One star teaches him a spell granting him the ability to travel through time and space, allowing him to confront his past and find courage.
