Eastern Bandits (2012)

During the Japanese invasion of China, Gao, a soldier consumed by revenge, plans to assassinate the visiting Japanese chief. His plot leads him to Fang, the charismatic leader of a local bandit group. Fang commands fierce loyalty from his followers, a bond forged through shared hardship and Fang's past sacrifices. Recognizing the potential of Fang's men and weapons, Gao deliberately orchestrates his capture. Enraged by this betrayal, Fang nearly kills Gao, but Fang’s sister intervenes, saving him. She has developed feelings for Gao after witnessing his resilience during his interrogation.
