Description:
The film follows the Boteros, a working-class Mexican family facing hardship after their father's passing. Ignacia (Egurrola), the mother, makes a difficult decision: she's willing to jeopardize her three older children's futures to safeguard her youngest, Gabriel (Laguardia). She believes Gabriel is destined for success and will restore the family's lost wealth. However, fate intervenes, and tragedy awaits the Boteros. Based on the novel by Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz.
