The Premiere (2024)

Inspired by cringe comedy, THE PREMIERE is a mostly improvised comedy that hilariously mixes truth and fiction, taking viewers on an unpredictable journey. Sam (Pezzullo), a self-absorbed and delusional theater producer, tries to stage a musical version of the movie SCREAM at a Sag Harbor, New York theater, encountering many awkward and bizarre situations. With a cast of eccentric characters and local residents, the film is both a tribute to and a humorous take on the Hamptons, defying typical storytelling. The filmmakers describe it simply as a mockumentary about a documentary about creating a musical based on a movie.
