Description:
Having completed a lengthy career as a government official in Hanyang, a high-ranking man returns home with his gisaeng lover. His mistress, who had presented herself as his adopted daughter, struggles with the quiet country life and feels isolated. Meanwhile, the official grows increasingly attentive to a familiar female servant from his hometown, growing distant from his mistress. Hurt by his indifference, the mistress finds solace in the servant's companionship. A visiting imperial scholar then attempts to take the mistress, but when the official remains passive, she is deeply disheartened. Witnessing this, the servant seeks revenge on the scholar but is caught and beaten by the official. Ultimately, the mistress decides to flee with the servant under the cover of night.
