Ninjaken: The Naked Sword (2006)

During a period of warring states, the female ninja Murasame is tasked with assassinating rebel Lord Daizen Osakabe. He has allied himself with the Tokugawa clan in a scheme to betray the Taiko. Despite facing great challenges, Murasame comes close to succeeding, but is ultimately overwhelmed and severely injured by the daimyo's samurai. Fleeing, she collapses and awakens in a mysterious convent, believing she is dead. The abbess offers her shelter, but her promises hide a sinister plot for Murasame's future. She must now use all her skills as a ninja and as a woman to escape a deadly situation of slavery and deception, seeking revenge for the betrayal.
