Searching for Mr. Butch (2002)

This half-hour film documents my experience with my neighbor, Mister Butch – the former king of Kenmore Square. He lived in Allston, Massachusetts, during the same period as me, though he lacked the comforts I enjoyed. True to his word, Mister Butch passed away on the street in 2007 and was widely mourned. I traveled back to Boston for his memorial parade, which drew an estimated crowd of a thousand people. The film was made with assistance from Amy Whitten, Jenny Tse, Jennet Cook, Star Nigro, James Ryan, and Nathan Lewis Hughes, among others.
