Description:
While in Mexico, Conner invited Timothy Leary, whom he'd previously met in New York, to join him. They spent time searching for mushrooms in the Mexican countryside. The film doesn’t confirm whether they found any. However, Conner compiled home movies of their walks – interspersed with footage from earlier mushroom hunts in San Francisco – into a film called Looking for Mushrooms. The movie quickly shows the rural Mexican landscape, passing by houses and a decaying cemetery. This is not to be confused with Conner's 1996 re-edited version of Looking for Mushrooms.
