Description:
For seven months, artists Elles Kiers and Sjef Meijman lived closely with four Bunte Bentheimer pigs. During slaughter month, they had their favorite pig, Bom, killed and then processed the meat themselves. The short documentary *Blood* (Dinanda Luttikhedde, 2011) observes the artists during the final stage of their research into food origins. A significant ritual develops around preparing the animal.
