PINGKIAN: ISANG MUSIKAL is a musical drama following Emilio Jacinto's life during the final years of the Philippine Revolution and into the early Philippine-American War. The story depicts a nation grappling with revolution as Jacinto confronts the difficulties of war with dedication to freedom. After being seriously wounded in battle at Majayjay, Laguna, Jacinto encounters the spirits of Andres Bonifacio, his close friend and leader of the Katipunan, and Jose Rizal, his inspiration for civic ideals. Together, they explore Jacinto's nightmares and his desire for a heroic death, offering a thoughtful look at the Katipunan’s moral compass and his personal understanding of freedom.
