Astro Boy: Volume of the Blue Knight (1999)

The film opens with the Phoenix recounting the stories and aspirations of Astro Boy, with visuals directly inspired by the 1980s TV series as it revisits key moments from his past. Afterward, Astro Boy attempts to reason with Blue Bon, urging him to reconsider his feelings toward humanity. However, Blue Bon misinterprets Astro Boy’s plea as a sign of hostility. Blue Bon harbors resentment towards humans for separating his family, specifically Maria and Tonto. Consequently, a battle erupts between the two after Astro Boy fails to convince Blue Bon that they are not adversaries.
