Ryuji Inahara, heir to the Atami Yamazakiya family, then ceded control of the organization to powerful figures within the Guretai, the "Yokohama Four Heavenly Kings." Under their influence, the Inahara group rapidly extended its power from Yokohama throughout the Tokaido region. This marks the beginning of Ryuji Inahara and Masao Tashiro, a third-generation member of the Yamaga-gumi, as key players in the yakuza world.
