The film documents a child’s first three years through a series of intimate moments: a hedgehog in the sunlight, a hand resting on a round belly, carnations, tangerines, a baby bathing under a medlar tree, playful jumps in a mother’s arms, tentative first steps, bus rides, blossoming trees, runs through the countryside, shy glances at the camera, the changing seasons, palm tree shadows, still lifes, laughter, and shopping. It is a filmed diary of early childhood.
