Description:
In 1979, in the New Orleans suburb of Fat City, a group of high school students explore nightclubs and discos where the drinking age is 18 but rarely enforced. The film features music by Elvis Costello, The Knack, and KC & The Sunshine Band. It's Paul's senior year, and Ashley hopes to be his girlfriend, but he's distracted by cheerleaders and models from his Babylon Modeling class. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend Tara stirs up trouble, and his drug dealer's girlfriend develops an interest in him.
