Description:
Off the Florida coast, a fissure opens in the ocean near Pajaro Island. Graduate student Greg Chambers discovers seismic readings and warns his professor, Anthony McAlister, that a major earthquake is imminent for the island. The epicenter is directly beneath a new resort where Anthony's estranged wife, Lynn, is working. As they rush to warn her, a powerful quake strikes, damaging the town and destroying homes. The mainland bridge is severed, trapping Lynn and three others in the resort's underground tunnels. After Greg is killed during a rescue attempt, Lynn must lead the survivors to safety as aftershocks and tunnel instability threaten to bury them alive.
