Description:
In 2003, Moscow surgeons successfully separated Zita and Gita Rezakhanov, Siamese twins who had lived joined at the waist since birth. The girls from a remote Kyrgyz village shared a bladder, intestines, and had three legs for two. While the surgery offered them a chance at independent lives, true happiness remained elusive. The sisters struggled with depression, facing the reality that they could never have families of their own. Though fiercely devoted to each other, their bond was tested when Zita passed away at the age of 24 in 2015.
