Kitchen Triptych (2018)

This film offers a glimpse into the daily lives of chefs in Estonia's leading restaurants, revealing the intense work happening behind the scenes after an order is placed. It takes us into the often-overlooked kitchen, a hot and crowded environment where passion and pressure combine to create exceptional food. The film follows six head chefs – Toomas Lääts, Rene Uusmees, Dimitri Demjanov, Dmitri Rooz, Märt Metsallik, and Ott Tomik – simultaneously, presented on a split screen. Through 90 minutes of screen time, we witness their work, their thoughts on restaurants, food trends, money, and life, and explore why they dedicate themselves to this demanding profession.
