Description:
DRIFT is a project begun in 1991 by visual artist Leah Singer and musician Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth. It’s a combined audio-visual experience where Ranaldo creates music, sounds, and texts inspired by two 16mm films that Singer projects live. Singer improvises with the films in real time, much like a DJ manipulating a record, as Ranaldo plays guitar and performs poetry and soundscapes.
