Description:
This production adapts Ivan Olbracht's novel *Nikola Šuhaj the Robber*. The music features Petr Ulrych's acclaimed 1974 LP, which gained recognition and inspired a theater production at Prague's Divadlo Ateliér, leading to the formation of the band Javory. Javory, in an expanded form, also performs in the 2002 Brno City Theater production, with new musical numbers added. The show includes over 25 songs, more than half of which are original to this production. Petr Ulrych received the A. Radok Award for his music. Director Stanislav Moša incorporated film footage to enhance the presentation of natural landscapes. The production also features notable choreography, strong performances from the police and bandit choirs, and excellent acting and singing, led by Petr Štěpán in the main role.
