From July 21st to September 10th, 2007, the Museum for Contemporary Art Tokyo hosted an exhibition celebrating Kazuo Oga, the art director and background artist behind many well-known films from Japan's Studio Ghibli. The exhibition featured over 600 of Oga’s works, drawing many fans to celebrate his vibrant and detailed background artwork, characteristic of many films by Hayao Miyazaki and other Ghibli filmmakers. International fans can experience the exhibition through "A Ghibli Artisan - Kazuo Oga Exhibition - The One Who Drew Totoro's Forest," which includes interviews and testimonials with Oga’s colleagues, all subtitled in English.
