Description:
Richard Doty was a former Air Force Intelligence operative who worked at Kirtland AFB in New Mexico creating and spreading false information about UFOs to researchers. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, Kirtland AFB was conducting secret experiments with advanced technology like lasers, stealth planes, and nuclear weapons. These experiments caused unusual sights in the sky that attracted UFO investigators. Doty's role was to recruit these investigators as sources for the Air Force and to disseminate military disinformation within the UFO community. He did this by providing fake documents that appeared to reveal the government's involvement with extraterrestrials.
