Description:
It's 1977 in Oulu, a remote Finnish town, where a wave of punk and new wave rock arrives, bringing with it a new generation of unconventional youth and their rebellious message. Välde (17) is drawn to this movement, dreaming of rock stardom and the attention of Pike, the town's most popular girl. When Pike wins a national pop music contest and begins dating Henri Hakala, a member of the town's elite, Välde makes a drastic decision. He completely transforms himself in an attempt to win her over. But his carefully constructed new identity doesn't lead him to the future he imagined. The film is adapted from a novel by Kauko Röyhkä, a musician and author.
