Fliegen (2016)

On her 15th birthday, Nadia spends time caring for her mother, who struggles with drug addiction, instead of celebrating with friends. To make ends meet, Nadia works at a Chinese restaurant. The difficult reality of her life with her mother – filled with conflict, moments of hope, and attempts at reconciliation – becomes both overwhelming and strangely compelling for Nadia. Torn between her responsibilities and a desire for a different life, Nadia's capacity for love is pushed to its limit.
