File: “Combinat” (2002)

For generations, people – including my grandparents – documented important moments in diaries and calendars, recording events without concern for grand narratives. Our film about the Skrunda radar station echoes those personal records. It tells the story of a lengthy, meticulous process of negotiation and agreement that led to the station's decommissioning and demolition. It’s a film about the people who worked on this project, no matter their role or background.
