Catching Up with Marty DiBergi (2000)

This documentary follows the fictional heavy metal band Spinal Tap as they embark on a disastrous tour of the United States in 1982. The film chronicles their chaotic journey, filled with technical malfunctions, interpersonal conflicts, and bizarre encounters with fans and the media. Throughout their performances, the band's carefully crafted image of outrageousness and excess repeatedly unravels, exposing the absurdity of the rock and roll lifestyle.
