Description:

Desperate to save a struggling day care center, three individuals rob a bank. Wolf is apprehended, Werner is identified, and the police focus suspicion on Christa as the third accomplice. Christa and Werner enlist Hans, a clergyman, to discreetly deliver the stolen funds to the kindergarten, but he refuses. They then approach Ingrid, Christa's friend, for assistance, but the school ultimately rejects the money. Following a devastating event for Werner, Hans helps Christa escape to a collective in Portugal. Ingrid later visits her, but her presence creates unease within the community, leading her to return to Germany and abandon her hiding. Meanwhile, the police continue their search for her, as does Lena, a bank clerk who witnessed the robbery. Lena's persistent interest sparks a renewed sense of purpose in Christa.
