Description:
Anna, an artist, is haunted by visions of alien invaders intent on complete annihilation. Her fractured mental state is mirrored in the film's contrasting techniques: extended shots alternate with jarring montages, private moments clash with public settings, and black and white scenes blend with color, still images with video, and loud noises with disorienting camera work. Anna uses her own body as a canvas, marking herself with red stitches after a painful argument with her partner. Watching their shared moments, we witness an unprecedentedly intimate portrayal of sexual connection from a woman's perspective. The film challenges simplistic narratives and resists easy answers.
