In the town of Meirentan, the performer Meilin is constantly bullied and dreams of escaping her life. A powerful warlord, hearing of Meirentan's legend, seeks a ritual to achieve his ambitions. He tricks Meilin and forces her into the Meirentan. She survives but becomes infected by the life-and-death grass, transforming into a bloodthirsty monster who hunts those who wronged her.
