Description:
It's summer, 1967, in La Goulette, Tunisia, a popular beach town. Three seventeen-year-old girls – Gigi, who is Sicilian and Catholic; Meriem, Tunisian and Arab; and Tina, French and Jewish – are hoping to have their first sexual encounter, defying their families. Their fathers, Youssef, Jojo, and Giuseppe, are longtime friends whose bond is strained by the girls' desires. Meanwhile, Hadj, a wealthy older Arab man, wants to marry Meriem.
