Description:
During the quiet 1950s Puerto Rican independence movement, sixteen-year-old Celia is shielded from the truth by her family. As she considers the island's restrictive situation, her questions go unaddressed. The lives of three women are irrevocably changed when Celia's classmate, Matías, and his father, Emilio – seriously wounded from a gunshot – arrive at their home. Discovering they are involved in the revolution, the women decide to hide them from the police. Matías ignites a passion in Celia, leading her to defy her family and join the fight.
