KZ (2006)

Sixty years later, the Holocaust continues to demand exploration and remembrance. Many documentaries document survivors' stories or reveal new information through historical research. Yet, it remains difficult not to become desensitized to the horrors of this period. Rex Bloomstein's film, *KZ*, explores this by examining how emotional repression and confronting the past relate to the Nazi atrocities. The film focuses on Mauthausen, a concentration camp on the Danube, and the lingering spiritual impact it has on those who visit, work there, or live nearby.
