FeedBlackJect (2003)

Pascal Baes meticulously uses a video projector to interact with performances by Aï Suzuki, experimenting with reflected images. The resulting footage is digitally edited into an expressionistic, abstract exploration of the human body. Baes radically alters the images with effects, transforming shapes and textures to reconstruct a psychedelic vision of the human form and distorted sensuality. Demographical elements blend with fragments of bodies and faces in a vibrant display of color, light, and motion, amplified by an electronic score of shifting sounds, creating a claustrophobic experience.
