The Maltese islands, though small, boast a rich history of mythical creatures. Throughout the islands' history, different cultures incorporated these beings into their stories and beliefs. Creatures like the Belliegha, the Gawgaw, and demons such as the Jinn and Afrit are part of our cultural heritage. While often considered fantasy, these creatures persist in the stories told by older generations. *Mostri* follows Frans, a police detective who believes monsters are responsible for many terrible crimes. He must prove their existence to his colleagues and the police psychiatrist, or risk losing his job and being committed to an asylum.
