Mitchell 20 (2011)

Twenty educators at Mitchell School participated in a demanding, self-directed professional development program: National Board and Take One! Inspired by Daniela Robles, a fellow teacher, these educators joined together for mutual support and to strive for excellence. Her colleagues were particularly struck by Robles' growth throughout the process, as she evolved from a strong teacher into a respected leader. The group, comprised of teachers with varying years of experience, formed a unique and diverse cohort united by their commitment to improving their teaching. Recognizing the program’s potential, the school, the district, and the Arizona K12 Center provided significant support, enabling the Mitchell 20 to succeed.
