Description:
The film depicts the inaugural award ceremony for 1,052 distinguished generals of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. On September 23, 1955, the 22nd Standing Committee Meeting of the First National People's Congress authorized the awarding of Marshal titles to Zhu De and nine other senior PLA generals, by order of President Mao Zedong. Subsequently, on September 27, 1955, the Central Military Commission announced the award of general ranks to Su Yu and 1,038 other senior officers via a ceremony overseen by the State Council. This included ten generals, fifty-five generals, one hundred and seventy-five lieutenant generals, and seven hundred and ninety-eight major generals.
