Prisoner X (2023)

In 2010, a prisoner in an Israeli maximum-security prison died in his cell. Held in complete isolation and under constant watch, the guards only referred to him as "Prisoner X," knowing nothing of his identity or offense. Following his death, the Israeli government imposed a strict ban on reporting the story for three years. The prisoner was eventually identified as an Australian citizen and allegedly a Mossad agent. This documentary, which debuted at the 2023 Jerusalem Film Festival, investigates the Israeli government's handling of the case, including its failures and attempts to suppress information, and explores the unanswered questions surrounding his death in custody.
