Description:
Tortu is a driven IT consultant who enjoys his career. However, he's unexpectedly laid off and struggles to find new work. He experiences a devastating loss of his home and self-respect, eventually resorting to begging on the streets of Middlesbrough for months. His friend Gary intervenes, providing him with funds to relocate to Noyers, France, where he lives with Gary's uncle, Hugo. There, Tortu meets Lucas, a local farmer who himself recently moved to the countryside. The two men develop a deep connection and fall in love. Their happiness is threatened when Tortu is forced to return home due to immigration restrictions.
