Back to Las Maravillas (2023)

Leo (27) goes back to Las Maravillas, the mining town in southern Ecuador where he grew up, because his father, Tiberio (60s), is dying. His return brings him face-to-face with Ricardo (27), a fellow miner who was his first love and who is also grappling with his identity in the shadow of his father. As Leo deals with these reunions and the impending loss, Clarita (45), a trans woman and Shaman, guides him to understand that true identity goes deeper than appearances.
