Description:

Russia, 1736. Empress Anna Ioannovna, seeking to bolster her family line, names the unborn son of her niece, Anna Leopoldovna, as heir to the throne – an unprecedented move. Simultaneously, the Empress orchestrates a strategic marriage between Anna Leopoldovna and Anton Ulrich, Duke of Brunswick, to forge an alliance with Austria.
